Questions We Get All the Time

– What social media platforms do I need to be on?

– How often should I post?

– What should I post?

What Social Media Platforms Do I Need To Be On?

The ones your audience is on.

Think about a person who comes across you in some way, and wants to stay up to date. Which search box will they type your name into?

That's the social media platforms you need to be on.

My guess is those are Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, and Google (which means having a website that Google can find). But dependent on your genre and location and demographic, the answer for you could be slightly different.

How Often Should I Post?

Honestly? It doesn't really matter.

We quite like the "reminding people I still exist" strategy. It doesn't have to be all of the time and everyday, just enough to every now and then pop up in people's newsfeeds.

In the beginning it's probably best to attend a little to Social every day. Once you've got the hang of it – just schedule a bunch of posts to go out over the next little while.

What Should I Post?

Post the stuff you're doing!

Everything about the musician life is interesting the the general public. Studios look awesome, travels sound much more glamorous than they actually are (making them perfect for social media) – and of course we have a special sweetspot of photos of live performances.
