This concert will feature two pieces performed by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra for the first time: Piano Concerto by Clara Schumann and Symphony No. 2 by Anton Bruckner. The piano concerto will be played in the unique interpretation of Alexandra Dariescu. The concerto was written by Clara Wieck when she was only 14 years old. A few years later, she married the composer Robert Schumann and took her husband's well-known surname.
