Since losing their lead guitarist, Greg “Swampy” Brown, in November 2025, Melbourne punks Unto the Breach have been determined to turn grief into something positive.Swampfest was born from that desire—a way to honour Swampy’s memory while raising vital funds for The Black Dog Institute.What started as a small idea quickly grew into something much bigger. Favours were called in, friends stepped up, and now 10 of Melbourne’s most bodacious bands are donating their time to create one unforgettable day of live music at The Workers Club. Headlined by ska punk favourites The Kittyhawks and featuring Forklift Assassins, Judo Chop and All Hope Remains, the lineup spans punk, psychobilly, ska, rock and metal, with something for everyone. Every band is performing for free so every dollar raised supports research, education and better mental health outcomes for Australians.Most of us know someone whose life has been touched by mental illness. For many of us, it’s deeply personal. Swampfest is a chance to stand together, celebrate the people we’veloved, support those still struggling, and remind each other that no one has to face it alone.Come for the music. Stay for the community. Make some noise, celebrate Swampy’s life, and help turn loss into hope.

The Kittyhawks
The Kittyhawks are the newest superheroes in Australia's ska punk scene.
Since playing their debut live show in November 2023, the band has headlined venues across Australia, supported Bad Manners (UK), Dubioza Kolektiv (Bosnia), Hey Smith (Japan), Voodoo Glow Skulls (USA), Belvedere (Canada), T-Bone (Thailand) & Area 7, and toured nationally, including the East Coast and WA.
2025 is set to be a massive year with a run of headline shows in Indonesia in January and a European tour in June/July 2025, including the iconic This Is Ska Festival.
The Kittyhawks debut single “Danger in the Middle” has received airplay on Triple J and was called the “best Australian ska release in many years” by Ska Nation Radio. Their debut live shows were described as “chaotic energy breathing life back into the ska punk scene”
The track “Cometh The Hour” was awarded the number one position in the Ska Nation Radio Top 30 Songs of 2024.
