STARS CELEBRATE 50 YEARS | MEMO Music Hall

Stars will be performing a special 50th anniversary show on Sunday December 6 at MEMO Music Hall.

The band formed in Adelaide in 1976, signed a recording contract with Mushroom records and released two studio albums, “Paradise” & “Land of Fortune” followed by a live album “1157”

he band split in 1980 followed by an all star concert at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre remembering and featuring the songs of friend and band mate Andy Durant who passed away that same year. Stars reformed in 2018 releasing two studio albums “Boundary Rider” & “One More Circle Round The Sun “ and most recently a live album “Paradise Revisited “

The band featuring original singer Mick Pealing, blues guitar legend Geoff Achison, award winning blues and folk guitarist Nick Charles, pedal steel wiz Ed Bates, Erik Chess on drums and following the untimely passing of longtime friend Roger McLachlan, Jason Vorherr on bass.
