The ever-evolving avant-garage band DANA produce "a high energy punk that’s savage, brainy, and delightfully weird" (Post Trash) that could perhaps only come from their native Ohio. A land of burning rivers and bizarre characters, corn mazes and cryptids; the much contested birthplace of Rock N Roll boasts many unique musical exports, and DANA is proud to be counted among them. Releasing their self titled debut on Heel Turn Records in 2017, the Chaos Promo EP (Quality Time Records) in 2018, and Glowing Auras and Black Money (HTR) in 2019. Founding member Madeline Jackson (theremin/vocals), who "leads the band with a real versatility, her delivery splitting the difference between carnival barker immediacy and acid-fried pop melodicism" (PT), enlisted guitarist/producer Chris Lute, bassist Dan Matos, and drummer Brian Baker to proliferate their own brand of infectiously fun and cathartic post-punk. While touring North America extensively in recent years, playing to sold out shows and festival crowds from Montreal to San Diego, DANA released a series of singles: "Blueteeth", "R U Dead?", and most recently "Time Suck(s)" just last month, with a new unreleased record in the can.
